June 13, 2007 - 3 more days

Whats up my friends... or in Arabic it would be: Kaifa Haluk Sadiqi!

So on advice of some of you guys, I have set up this blog to let everyone know how I'm doing when I'm on the road.

I've done all the planning I could possibly have done.

Hostels are confirmed, info has been printed, directions from bus stations/airports to hostels have been found, and so and so forth.

The only thing I need to do is make sure my bag is less then 10 pounds, so I don't have to carry it in the check in, cuz when I get to London Gatwick, I have to runnn to catch my flight to Athens, which should be do-able. (hopefully)

This week I have been going through phases of extreme excitement and extreme fear. Fear of the unknown of course, since I am going to all these places by myself, and most of you guys think I'm nuts to be going to Syria.

Anyway I'm on the patio right now just chillin and thinking of stuff I need to do.

Gonna shave my head tomorrow, as my tradition is (and will be from now on) before leaving on a trip like this.

Peace... or Salaam

J

I think you are only mildly nuts for going to Syria ;)

From what I saw of it, Gatwick is smaller than Heathrow so even if you have a tight connection and a terminal change I think you should be able to make your Athens flight.

Have fun and stay safe!

I'll be thinking of you far away back home in Canada. Stay alert - stay safe (singing).. hehe.

This will be the greatest experience in your life - treasure it and be brave. Always know that you'll be in my heart.

Love you!
